Important work in an exceptional operating environment

The IT unit maintains and develops the book-entry system and other related information systems, as well as the supporting technical infrastructure and office environments. We use the most modern central securities depository system in Europe and have the best professionals in the field. Our IT organisation covers more than a third of Euroclear Finland's employees.

The CSD is a critical market infrastructure and we work closely with various authorities. We operate well in an international environment and cooperate closely with other companies in the Euroclear Group. We also cooperate with several domestic and international IT companies.

The CSD system operates on a standard basis in message traffic with market participants' systems. The settlement of securities trading moved to the TARGET2-Securities platform maintained by the European Central Bank in September 2023.

It is extremely important for our business that our systems and processes operate reliably in all conditions. That is why all kinds of development work are an essential part of our daily work. We are constantly developing both existing and new services for our customers.

Our IT unit consists of several teams: Business Solutions and Core Services, New Services, Technology Solutions, Cyber and Business Resilience and Controls and Risks. These teams include project managers, architects, Scrum Masters, system specialists, Product Owners and information security experts, just to name a few. With us, you can constantly learn new things, and our employees especially appreciate the development opportunities brought by interesting projects.
