To create opportunities for Sweden to remain an attractive and sustainable market to invest in, harmonisation of the Swedish securities market with Europe is required. At the same time, what makes the Swedish market unique must be protected and strengthened.

"As Sweden's central securities depository, Euroclear Sweden has a crucial role to lead the change process. I am proud to become Chairman and officially represent the market and will actively contribute by involving the industry in the work ahead of us," says Ola Mjorud, newly appointed Chairman of Euroclear Sweden's User Committee.

Ola Mjorud and Sofia Brånfelt will take up their positions on 29 May 2024. The mandates are for two years. Ola and Sofia have been members of the User Committee since 2009 and 2015 respectively.

"I am extremely pleased with the interest and support that our customers show through their involvement in our User Committee and would like to warmly welcome Ola Mjorud and Sofia Brånfelt in their new roles," says Roger Storm, CEO, Euroclear Sweden.

Göran Fors, Deputy Head of Investor Services, SEB, is stepping down after 15 years as Chairman.

"I would like to thank Göran Fors for his invaluable efforts over the years, especially in connection with T2S, the introduction of CCP clearing, CSDR application and Göran's deep commitment to improving the market's settlement rate," says Roger Storm.
